But with rising use comes a rising number of tragic incidents; many of which could have been prevented with basic knowledge and proper safety practices.

Urgent action is needed through community engagement, early warning systems, and climate-resilient forest management.

The country spends billions on importing wood and fossil fuels while letting its own forest biomass burn, missing opportunities for sustainable energy and economic development. By promoting sustainable forest management and biomass utilization, Nepal can turn its environmental crisis into a pathway for cleaner air, energy security, and green growth.
